As a Flight Nurse at AeroMed Evacuation Services, you will work closely with our team of pilots and paramedics to provide immediate medical attention to patients during flights. You will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing advanced life support techniques. This role requires a high level of expertise, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan
- Provide advanced medical care to critically ill or injured patients during aeromedical evacuations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Monitor and record vital signs and other patient data during flights.
- Perform advanced life support techniques, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and endotracheal intubation.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning to ensure comfort and safety during flights.
- Document all medical procedures and patient care in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the flight crew to ensure a safe and efficient evacuation process.
- Stay updated on the latest medical protocols and technologies to provide the best possible care to patients.
🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Flight Nurse or Critical Care Nurse.
- Certification as a Flight Nurse by the Association of Flight Nurses (AFN) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS).
- Experience with emergency medical equipment and devices commonly used in aeromedical evacuations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.
